An Honest Conversation with Cheyanne Teka and Stela Albuquerque
There is no script and no choreography and this performance can only ever happen once. The vision of Sacha Copland, this intriguing creation is unlike anything you’ve seen before, or will ever see again. 42 year old choreographer Sacha Copland and 24 year old local Cheyanne Teka will talk while dancing for 1 hour. They will try to be honest. Dance and art are Stela’s way of releasing and processing emotions, thoughts and identity. Language and culture are always at the forefront of her choreographic process and storytelling. Stela wants to talk and dance. Cheyanne has danced all over Aotearoa and returned home.
