Lauren Carr

Lauren is a 2006 graduate of New Zealand School of Dance in 2003. From 2006-10 Lauren was contracted to Black Grace directed by Neil Ieremia. Her work with Black Grace saw Lauren touring extensively throughout America and Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Noumea in New Caledonia, Guam, Hawaii and Aotearoa.

From 2010-11, Lauren joined Dance North, directed by Raewyn Hill, traveling to Macau, Hong Kong to perform Ross McCormack’s Nowhere Fast. Lauren has created and performed with Java since 2012, touring throughout NZ, Australia, Asia and the UK. Lauren also dances with choreographer Liesel Zink in Brisbane and has performed The Stance in Australia and Hungary. Lauren is Australian and grew up in Taree, NSW.
